are seven permanent features of the Nigerian Coat-of-Arms. These features
are:

II. The two wavy bands on the Shield;
III . The two supporters (Horses) on the two sides of the Shield;
IV. The flora/foliage Cactus
spectabilis (flowers on which the shield rests);

The Eagle
VI. The Wreath on which
the Eagle perches and
VII. The Motto of the Nation below the Shield
The Meaning of the
Aspects:
The SHIELD, which is BLACK: Represents the good earth of Nigeria.
The WAVY BANDS, which is Silvery on the SHIELD: Represents the Rivers
Niger and Benue and their confluence.
The Two WHITE Horses Suppers: Represent DIGNITY
Ground FLORA on which the SHIELD stand is Cactus Spectabilis:
Represents common WILD FLOWER found throughout Nigeria
The EAGLE: Stands for STRENGTH
UNITY and FAITH, PEACE and PROGRESS: is the country's MOTTO
