| VISAS
All visa applications will
be processed within two (2) working days or 48 hours after submission,
if the requirements are met. Relevant Application Forms (available for
downloading on the Embassy’s website) must be fully completed, signed,
dated by all visa applicants. Uncompleted forms or non-supply of necessary
supporting documents will not be accepted or processed.
Visa application forms downloaded from the internet can also be completed
and forwarded to the Embassy for processing.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS
FOR ISSUANCE OF NIGERIAN VISAS
1. Payment of non-Refundable
Fees, which are usually charged on the basis of reciprocity
2. Completion of Visa Application Form
3. Evidence of sufficient funds for duration of visit or proof of other
satisfactory arrangements for support while in Nigeria
4. Visa officer may request for other information from the applicants,
if deemed necessary
5. Physical Interview of the applicant maybe required as and when necessary
6. Evidence of return air ticket (except one-way ticket for STR applicants)

Permit, which will be regularized on arrival in Nigeria by the Nigeria
Immigration Service (NIS)

REQUIREMENTS FOR
VISITOR/TOURIST & TRANSIT VISAS
- Valid Passport (at
least 6 months to expiration)
- One recent Passport photograph
- Copy of round-trip ticket/flight itinerary (applies to all applicants)
- Letter of invitation accepting Immigration responsibility or evidence
of financial support while in Nigeria from Nigerians individual or organization.
- Applicants for Transit visas must submit copies of their onward tickets
and visas to their main destinations.
- Children must submit copies of their birth certificate showing names
of their two parents
- Children of Nigerian parents must submit copies of relevant pages
of one of their parents' passport.
- Provision of hotel reservation is preferable
- Resident foreigners inviting friends must submit copies of their resident
permits and relevant pages of passports
- Foreigners married to Nigerians or invited by Nigerians must submit
copies of their hosts' or spouses' passports
- Payment of appropriate Non-refundable fee of R$ 180,00.
BUSINESS & VISA
FOR EDUCATIONAL/RELIGIOUS PURPOSES
- Valid Passport (at least
6 months to expiration)
- One recent passport photograph
- A copy of round-trip ticket
- Submission of Letter of invitation from companies or business organizations
stating business interest/purpose
- If traveling to Nigeria for religious purpose, approval from the Ministry
of Internal Affairs, Abuja, Nigeria must be submitted
- If traveling to Nigeria for educational visit, a letter of invitation
from the Host University/School stating its purpose must be submitted
- If a student, submission of a copy of Identification Card & accompanying
letter from institution is necessary
- Non-refundable fee of R$ 310.00 (for Single Entry)
- Non-refundable fee of R$ 620.00 (for Multiple Entries)
TEMPORARY WORK PERMIT
(TWP)
- A valid passport (at
least 6 months to expiration)
- One recent passport photograph
- Evidence of Professional qualification for job in Nigeria
- Original copy of approval by Nigeria Immigration Service
Note: Approval is still subject to Embassy’s final
decision
- Non-refundable Fee of R$ 620,00
SUBJECT TO REGULARIZATION
(STR)
1. valid passport (at
least 6 months to expiration)
2. Completed application forms in quadruplicate
3. Four recent full face 3x4 passport photographs
4. Four (4) certified copies of expatriate quota approval from Nigeria
or approval from Nigeria for STR
5. Four (4) certified copies of all credentials & certificates.
Note: To determine suitability for employment in Nigeria
6. Letter of employment issued by Nigerian company
7. Letter of acceptance from Expatriate
8. Non-refundable Fee of R$ 620.00
DIPLOMATIC/OFFICIAL VISAS
1. Application visa forms
duly completed
2. Two (2) Passport colour photographs
3. A copy of the flight reservations
4. Submission of Note Verbal from corresponding Embassy/Brazilian Ministry
of External Relations or International/Regional Organization
5. Valid Diplomatic Passport (at least 6-months to expiration)
Important
Visa Notice:
All applicants are advised against involvement in advance fee fraud scams
and are enjoined to seek the verification from the Economic Section of
the Embassy before concluding business deals with unknown or first-time
