AFRICAN CULTURAL CENTRE OPENED IN SÃO PAULO
The
new Headquarters of the African Cultural Centre was opened on November
12, 2009, in the city of Sao Paulo. The President of CCA, Otunba
Adekunle Aderonmu, performed the opening ceremony.
The African Cultural Centre will serve the purpose of strengthening
the ties between Brazil and the African Continent through keeping
alive the cultural traditions of Africans and African descendants.
It will also serve as a reference Centre for research, studies and
exchanges on the cultures and customs of African people in Brazil.
The opening ceremony was graced by many important Brazilian and
African personalities, including the Nigerian Ambassador to Brazil,
H.E. Mr. Kayode Garrick. Below are some pictures of the august occasion.
